Angelica Wallingford.

Angelica Wallingford is a student journalist at San Diego State University. Prior to transferring to San Diego State, she attended San Diego City College where she majored and received an associates degree in Digital Journalism.

During her time at City College, she had over 70 articles and dozens of photos published and became a long-standing editor and designer of the award-winning publications City Times and Legend magazine. She has won numerous awards for excellence in college journalism from organizations such as Society of Professional Journalists and Journalism Association of Community Colleges. Her time as editor also garnered her publications national recognition by being nominated multiple times and winning the Associate Collegiate Press Pacemaker award for the 2014-2015 edition of City Times. 

She is continuing her student journalism career at San Diego State by producing stories and photos for the Daily Aztec. In the future, she hopes to use the knowledge and experience she’s gained to further her career as a digital journalist.
